Our founder is a veteran of taking companies from private to public, as well as founding a software as a service company then successfully selling it within a few years.
Our founder, John Isaza, is not only a highly regarded legal expert, but he is also an entrepreneur. He was co-founder of Information Governance Solutions (IGS) featuring Virgo™, a cloud-based software for records information management and global research, sold to Access Corp in January of 2020. His first-hand experience allows him to help companies navigate from start-up through exit strategies. Mr. Isaza is one of the world’s foremost experts in the fields of Privacy, AI, Records and Information Governance. He has developed Global Privacy, Information Governance and Records Retention Programs for some of the most highly regulated Global 1000 companies, and he is currently Chief Advisor to several companies leveraging the AI space. He is co-author of 7 Steps for Legal Holds of ESI & Other Documents and 7 Reasonable Steps for Legal Holds of ESI and Other Documents, a contributing author to the ABA’s Internet Law for the Business Lawyer, 2nd Edition, as well as Editor-in-Chief and co-author of Handbook on Global Social Media Law for Business Lawyers. Mr. Isaza is past co-Chair of the American Bar’s Social Media Subcommittee as well as the Consumer Privacy and Data Analytics Subcommittee, past Chair of the IGP Certification Board, and a Fellow of ARMA International. John is a graduate of the University of Florida (with High Honors in 3 years) and Boston College Law School. He is also fluent in Spanish (his native tongue), proficient in French and German.
